Obverse
The obverse of each coin in the 2022 Year of the Tiger 2-Coin Set depicts the Singapore coat of arms. Included is the countrys motto Majulah Singapore, which translates as Onward Singapore. Youll find Thai inscriptions to the left side, and Chinese inscriptions to the right. Also inscribed is the word SINGAPURA at the top, and below it SINGAPORE.
Reverse
On the reverse of each coin in the 2022 Proof Singapore Silver Year of the Tiger Set is the tiger itself. The octagonal version shows the tiger in a regular proof finish, while the floral shape includes colorized elements. History
When a tiger is born, it is blind for up to two weeks. These precious little cubs remain under their mothers protection for about 18 months, before venturing out into the wild on their own. However, dont expect them to group up with other tigers on the range. With the exception of mothers and cubs, these apex predators are solitary creatures. Once they gain their independence, tigers can grow to over 3 meters long and weigh almost 700 pounds! If theyre lucky, theyll live up 25 years. No wonder we approach these creatures with such fear and awe.
