Greek mythology is filled with fanciful tales of gods and demi-gods, as well as creatures of all kinds that were both good-hearted in nature and evil to the core. Among the more beloved creatures from Greek mythology is the winged horse known as Pegasus. Provident Metals currently offers the 2022 St. Helena Pegasus 1 oz Silver Coin to you for purchase online.

Obverse
The obverse side of the 2022 St. Helena Pegasus Silver Coin comes with a right-profile effigy of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. Often considered a timeless depiction of the Queen, this work of art from Raphael Maklouf appeared on British coins from 1985 to 1997. In this design, the Queen wears the George IV State Diadem. Inscriptions around the design field read ST. HELENA, QUEEN ELIZABETH II, 2022, 1 (Pound), and ONE OUNCE 999 SILVER.
Reverse
On the reverse face of 2022 St. Helena Pegasus 1 oz Silver Coins, you will find a depiction of the famed flying horse. Pegasus is said to have been born from the blood of Medusa as she was decapitated by the hero Perseus. The Pegasus was a bright, white stallion with powerful wings capable of long-duration flight. This side includes the initials of designer Jennie Norris and offers a Greek-style border design.
History
Jennie Norris is the designer of the reverse image of Pegasus, and you are no doubt familiar with that name if you collect or invest in American coinage. Her depiction of the American bald eagle was adopted in 2021 on the American Eagle Gold bullion coins as the US Mint celebrated that collections 35th anniversary with a first-ever design change.
