History
James Bond is a spy character created by Ian Fleming who was introduced in the novel Casino Royale in 1953. Nine years later, he made his big screen debut in Dr. No, which now celebrates its 60th anniversary. Since Dr. Nos release, there have been 26 subsequent Bond films released. Sean Connery was the first actor to portray 007 and was followed by David Niven, George Lazenby, Roger Moore, Timothy Dalton, Pierce Brosnan, and Daniel Craig. With Craig announcing his retirement from the role after the 2021 film No Time To Die, fans are now waiting with eager anticipation for the next James Bond to be announced.
