Burnished American Eagle Silver Coins were introduced in 2006 by the United States Mint. Released on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the series, the Burnished American Eagle Silver Coins were released from 2006 to 2008, suspended in 2009 and 2010, and have again been available since 2011.
Obverse
On the obverse side of 2022-W Burnished American Eagle Silver Coins is Walking Liberty. This effigy of Liberty is set in left-profile relief and captures her full-length figure. The design shows Liberty walking toward the sun on the horizon as it rises over a mountain. Libertys figure is draped in the American flag with her right hand outstretched and her left carrying branches of oak and laurel. Inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, 2022, and the AW signature mark of designer Adolph A. Weinman.
Reverse
The reverse field of the 2022-W Burnished American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin comes with an image of the American bald eagle. This visual shows the bald eagle in left-profile relief as it descends into the field of view with an oak branch in its talons as its wings are flexed back. Inscriptions on this side read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, ONE DOLLAR, and the W mint mark of the West Point Mint.
History
Burnished American Eagle Silver Coins are first rolled in drums to polish the blanks before coining. Each one is handled by gloved hands one at a time, with the blanks struck once in the coining press. The coins are then removed by gloved hands and packaged.

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
