In July 2021, the United States Mint issued the first-ever design overhaul for the American Eagle Coins. Emily Damstra has extensive experience working with both the Royal Canadian Mint and the United States Mint, to name a few. Her previous works include designs in the Canadian Wildlife and Birds of Prey Series, as well as the America the Beautiful collection.

Acceptable detractions include only minuscule contact marks or hairlines. These must be located outside the primary focal points.
