Reverse

Here, the bald eagle swoops into view with flexed wings as it clutches an oak branch in its talons. The inscriptions on this side include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, ONE DOLLAR, and the W mint mark of the West Point Mint.

History

The new design on the Proof American Eagle Silver Coins comes from Emily Damstra. A member of the United States Mint Artistic Infusion Program, Ms. Damstra has previously completed designs in the America the Beautiful Series at the US mint, as well as the Canadian Wildlife and Birds of Prey Series at the Royal Canadian Mint.
