In this design, the eagle is shown in left-profile relief as it swoops down into view with an oak branch in its talons. Inscriptions on this side of the coin read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, ONE DOLLAR, and the W mint mark of the West Point Mint.

History

While the 2022 release isnt the first to feature the new reverse design from Emily Damstra, it is the first coin in the series to feature this design from start to finish. In 2021, the US Mint split its release between the original and new reverse designs. This year is all about the new reverse.
