The 1/10 oz gold coin in the American Eagle Series debuted in 1986 as a BU version of the coin. The Proof version of the coin was introduced in 1988 and has only missed the 2009 release in the years since. The Burnished version of the 1/10 oz gold coin was only issued from 2006 to 2008.

On the obverse of 2023 Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coins, you will find the image of Liberty from the $20 Gold Double Eagle. Designed in 1907 by Augustus Saint-Gaudens, this image depicts Liberty walking forth from Washington DC with her torch held high above her head as a guiding light for the American people. Inscriptions include LIBERTY and 2023.

The reverse side of the 2023 American Eagle Gold Coin comes with the new bald eagle portrait from Jennie Norris. Created in 2020, this left-profile relief comes with inscriptions that read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and 5 DOLLARS 1/10 OZ. FINE GOLD.

American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coins hold the single-year record for mintage among the BU American Eagle Gold Coins. The 1999 release sold more than 2.75 million coins in this weight, a figure that is more than 1 million coins higher than the next closest date mark, a 1 oz Gold Eagle.

2023 American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coins available here are near-perfect products. Coins with this certification feature full, original mint luster with a maximum of two minor detracting flaws. These flaws are limited in nature to minuscule contact marks or hairlines and are found only outside the primary focal areas of the coin. First Strike labels indicate coins received for grading within 30 days of release from the US Mint.
