The obverse side of the 2023 American Eagle Gold Coin comes with a depiction of Lady Liberty. This 1907 design from Augustus Saint-Gaudens shows the full-length figure of Liberty in front-facing relief. She is shown walking away from Washington D.C. with the U.S. Capitol Building at her feet. The background field is filled with sun rays with a ring of stars around the design field. Liberty holds a torch aloft in one hand with an olive branch in the other. Inscriptions on this side include LIBERTY and 2023.
On the reverse face of 2023 American Eagle 1/10 oz Gold Coins, you will find the left-profile image of the American bald eagle. Specifically, you can see the head of the eagle in great detail. This design was created in 2020 by Jennie Norris and debuted on the coins in mid-2021. Inscriptions on this field read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1/10 OZ. FINE GOLD, and 5 DOLLARS.
