Obverse
The obverse of 2023 Australian Kookaburra Silver Coins features a portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. This is the final time the Queen will appear on the coins in this series following her passing in September 2022. Inscriptions on this side read ELIZABETH II, AUSTRALIA, and 10 DOLLARS.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 2023 Kookaburra 10 oz Silver Coin is a depiction of two kookaburras in a small bush. The waratah plant is a native treasure to Australia and provides the branches upon which these two kookaburras are perched. Inscriptions here include 2023 10 OZ 9999 SILVER, KOOKABURRA, and the P mint mark of Perth Mint.
History
The Kookaburra 10 oz Silver Coin is traditionally offered by Perth Mint with an unlimited mintage. Like the other coins in the series, demand can ebb and flow drastically in this series. For example, in 2011, this weight saw sales of 45,901, but more recently in 2021, saw sales of just 2,391.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
