Reverse
The reverse side of 2023 Australian Mini Roo Gold Coins features a depiction of the powerful kangaroo. The worlds largest marsupial, the kangaroo is shown here in right-profile relief as the animal looks back over its powerful frame toward the trees on the horizon. Inscriptions include 2023, 0.5 G, 9999, GOLD, KANGAROO, and the P mint mark of Perth Mint.
History
Australian Kangaroo Gold Coins were introduced as such in 1990. The series was previously struck and issued by Perth Mint as the Australian Nugget Gold Series.
