History

John Mercanti previously served as the 12^th Chief Engraver of the United States Mint from 2006 to 2010. Since 2014, hes worked on the Wedge Tail Eagle Silver Series, creating shared designs for the 2014-2015 dates and a new design for the 2016-2017 dates. Since 2018, he has developed new designs each year.
