Obverse
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II is featured on the obverse of the 2023 Australian Wombat Silver Coin in a memorial design. Created from a Jody Clark portrait in 2015, the right-profile effigy of the Queen is embellished with the George IV State Diadem and date marks from 1952-2022. The inscriptions on this side include ELIZABETH II, 1952-2022, AUSTRALIA, and 1 DOLLAR.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2023 Wombat 1 oz Silver Coin showcases a sleeping wombat amidst indigenous foliage from the Australian continent. The inscriptions on this field read WOMBAT, 2023 1 OZ 9999 SILVER, and the P mint mark of Perth Mint.
History
Wombats are well adapted to their burrowing lifestyle and have strong legs and broad feet with sharp claws that help them dig. They can dig burrows up to 30 meters long and can use them for shelter from extreme weather and predators.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
