History
The beloved bird Fawkes plays an important role in both The Chamber of Secrets and the Order of the Phoenix. The birds tail feathers were also famously used by Garrick Ollivander to create a pair of wands with matching cores. One wand went to Lord Voldemort, while the other was given to Harry Potter. When these two wands meet in a duel, they initiate a unique reverse spell effect known as Priori Incantatem. This is first depicted at the climactic duel in The Goblet of Fire.
