The Peace Silver Dollar debuted in December 1921 as a symbol of peace following World War I. Designed by Italian-American sculptor Anthony de Francisci, the coin introduced a fresh artistic style to US silver dollars. Liberty is shown with flowing hair and a radiant crown, inspired by the artists wife, Teresa, and intended to represent renewal and hope. In 2021, the US Mint reintroduced the Peace Dollar as a modern bullion coin struck in .999 pure silver to celebrate the coins 100th anniversary. Today, certified 2023 Peace Dollar Silver Coins are available from Provident Metals.

Obverse
The obverse of the 2023 Peace Dollar Coin features a left-facing image of Lady Liberty. This design replaced the earlier Morgan Dollar portrait that appeared on US silver dollars in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Libertys crown includes spiked rays resembling sunlight, symbolizing peace and a new beginning. Teresa de Francisci served as the model for Libertys likeness. The inscriptions here include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRVST, and 2023.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2023 Peace Dollar Silver Coin shows a bald eagle perched calmly on a rock engraved with PEACE. The eagle holds an olive branch, emphasizing harmony and stability. Sun rays appear in the background, reflecting the hopeful message shared by both sides of the coin. Inscriptions here include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, and PEACE.
History
The US Mint resumed production of Morgan and Peace Dollars in 2021 as modern bullion issues. These coins were no longer produced for everyday use but were instead aimed at collectors and silver buyers. The Peace Dollar is struck in .999 pure silver and has been offered annually since its return, except in 2022.

All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
