History
The original Walt Disney Studio was established in October 1923 by Walt and Roy Disney. Prior to that, Walt Disney had worked on animation in Kansas City, going so far as to produce a fairly successful short film titled Alice in Cartoonland. He later moved to California to advance his career. By 1928, he had created Mickey Mouse, who first appeared in the animated shorts Plane Crazy and Gallopin Gaucho.
