Obverse
The obverse side of each coin in the 2023 Shohei Ohtani Dodgers 2-Coin Set features images of Shohei Ohtani. The quarter features the image of Ohtani rounding the bases with his fist held high. The Half Dollar showcases the image of Ohtani holding his bat while smiling at the viewer. Inscriptions read SHOHEI OHTANI, 17, and TWO-WAY SUPERSTAR on the Half Dollar, and SIGNED RECORD DEAL, LAD, and 10 YEARS on the quarter.
Reverse
The reverse side of each coin in the 2023 Shohei Ohtani Dodgers 2-Coin Set differs depending on which coin you view. The quarter showcases the design seen on the California state quarter, while the Half Dollar features the heraldic eagle designed by Frank Gasparro. Notably, each coin has a thin layer of 24-karat gold, displayed on the reverse. Inscriptions include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, FG, and HALF DOLLAR on the Half Dollar, and CALIFORNIA, 1850, JOHN MUIR, YOSEMITE VALLEY, 2005, and E PLURIBUS UNUM on the quarter.
History
Shohei Ohtani in his 6-year career has already been a 4-time member of the All-MLB First Team, a 2-time AL MVP, and a World Baseball Classic MVP. For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
