Since 1986, there has been only one date mark in the Proof American Eagle Silver Series to lack a release. In 2009, the US Mint was forced to suspend proof coining to meet the demand for American Eagle Silver Coins as established by Congress.
Obverse
On the obverse side of the 2023-W Proof Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin, you will find Walking Liberty. Originally used on the US half dollar from 1916 to 1947, this design shows Liberty in left-profile relief with the American flag draped around her figure as she carries branches of oak and laurel. Inscriptions on this side read LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, 2023, and the AW signature mark of designer Adolph A. Weinman.
Reverse
The reverse field of 2023-W Proof American Eagle Silver Coins comes with the modern image of the American bald eagle. Redesigned in 2020 by Emily Damstra, this vision of an eagle swooping downward with an oak branch in its talons debuted in this series in 2021. Inscriptions on this side include UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, ONE DOLLAR, and the W mint mark of the West Point Mint.
History

2023-W Proof American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins come in presentation packaging from the mint. Each coin is individually encapsulated inside a black box that includes a Certificate of Authenticity and a depiction of Walking Liberty on the exterior of the box.

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
