2024 Morgan and Peace Dollars at Provident Metals

In September 2020, the House of Representatives passed legislation to create modern strikes of both the Peace Dollar and the Morgan Dollar. Three months later, the Senate unanimously approved this, and President Donald Trump signed it into law. These modernized versions each contain .858 Troy oz of .999 pure silver. Design History

Packaging Options

There are a few packaging options for these 2024 Morgan and Peace Dollars. One option is the US Mint original packaging. This includes a US Mint box with a Certificate of Authenticity.

Another option is a protective plastic slab, which would indicate a certified silver coin.

Both the PCGS and the NGC use the Sheldon Scale of 1 to 70. These coins will be graded either a 69 or a 70. While a 70 is a perfect specimen with no detractions of any kind, a 69 coins is one with a max of 2 minor detractions.

There are also other designations such as the following:

AR (Advanced Release): NGC-term to signify that they were graded before the coins were issued to the public.
ER (Early Release): NGC-term to signify that they were graded within 30 days of the coin being issued.
FDOI (First Day of Issue): Coin was submitted for grading within 24 hours of the initial release.
FS (First Strike): PCGS-term to signify that they graded within 30 days of the coin being issued.
