Obverse
The obverse of the 2024 Antique Colorized Tuvalu Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Silver Coin features an effigy of King Charles III. Created by Jody Clark, this left-profile design is the first official portrait of His Majesty to appear on Tuvaluan coins. The inscriptions read KING CHARLES III, TUVALU, 2 DOLLARS, 2024, and 2 OZ 9999 AG.
Reverse
On the reverse side of 2024 Antique Colorized Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2 oz Silver Coins, the design by Lucas Bowers depicts all four Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles in full color. Created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, the turtlesLeonardo, Raphael, Donatello, and Michelangelowere transformed by a mysterious ooze and trained in ninjutsu by their mentor, Splinter. Their adventures defending New York City have made them icons in pop culture. The inscriptions include the P mint mark and a 40th-anniversary emblem.
History
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles first made their debut in the 1980s, quickly gaining a massive fan base with their blend of action, humor, and martial arts. Theyve remained popular ever since, facing off against villains like the Foot Clan while also dealing with the challenges of being teenagers.
