Obverse
The Chad coat of arms is found on the obverse of these Figure 8 Dragon and Dragon 3 oz Silver Coins. This emblem is present to confirm the coins legal tender status in the Republic of Chad. There are inscriptions also reading REPUBLIQUE DU TCHAD, 2024, 15000 FRANCS CFA.
Reverse
Two auspicious dragons grace the reverse of 2024 Antique Republic of Chad Coins. This sleek rendition presents the dragons with traditional serpentine bodies winding across the edges of the field. The design completes in striking fashion in the center where their heads meet.
History
In Chinese culture, 8 is considered by many to be the luckiest number. This is partly because the Chinese word for 8, Ba, sounds very much like Fa, which means wealth and prosperity. The dragon is also considered very auspicious in Eastern traditions. In fact, there are numerous temples spread across China designed specifically for dragon worship. In ancient times, it was common to beseech the dragon for a healthy crop since these creatures were known to control the weather.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
