The official bullion coin of Great Britain is the British Britannia. These coins started as a gold coin program in 1987, with silver coins being introduced in 1997. Learn more about the 2024 releases of these British Britannias right here, at Provident Metals.
For 2024, British Britannia Silver Coins are available in three unique sizes at Provident Metals – 1 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz. 1 oz BU coins are available individually in plastic flips. Larger orders are available in tubes of 25, or Monster Boxes of 500.
1/4 oz BU coins ship in protective plastic flips, with larger orders being available in tubes of 19. 1/10 oz BU coins ship in plastic flips, or tubes of 16 for larger orders.
For 2024, British Britannia Gold Coins are available as BU strikes and proof strikes. BU coins are available as 1 oz, 1/2 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1/10 oz coins. These coins show Britannia with her trident and her Union Jack shield, with King Charles III on the obverse.
Proof coins are available in three sizes 1/40 oz, 1/4 oz, and 1 oz. These coins arrive in a presentation box with a Certificate of Authenticity. These coins have a unique version of Britannia on the reverse, showing her effigy in left-profile relief, with a wave coming at her as a moon is also seen.
The Royal Mint also offers a 1 Troy oz platinum coin in the series. These coins have the same imagery as the silver and gold BU coins and are made with .9995 pure platinum. Coins arrive individually in flips. For larger orders, tubes containing 5-10, and boxes of 100 are also available.
Looking for a more unique option? In 2024, the US Mint issued a unique silver medal in proof condition, featuring the likeness of both Lady Liberty and Britannia. These medals have a mintage of 75,000 and offer you the chance to own the first-ever silver piece with the effigies of both Liberty and Britannia.
These medals arrive in a presentation box with a Certificate of Authenticity. Interestingly, the Chief Engravers of both the US Mint and the Royal Mint worked together to create this incredible design.
