The reverse side of these 2024 Treasured Maple Leaf Polar Bear Privy 1/10 oz Gold Coins features the classic sugar maple leaf design, a timeless visual created in 1979 by Walter Ott. This iconic design has remained constant on the coins in the series since its inception, complemented by a small privy mark depicting a polar bear. History
A polar bear’s primary diet consists of seals, and they are excellent swimmers, capable of covering long distances in search of prey. They use sea ice as platforms to hunt seals, especially ringed and bearded seals.
