In 1774, the First Continental Congress convened to address colonial grievances against British policies, particularly in response to the Intolerable Acts. Seeking resolution through dialogue, delegates from 12 of the 13 colonies gathered, with Georgia being the exception. Prominent figures like John Adams, Samuel Adams, George Washington, Patrick Henry, and Peyton Randolph played significant roles.

The obverse of the 2024 Colorized The First Continental Congress 1 oz Silver Coins vividly portrays the delegates engaged in debate, capturing the essence of the Continental Association’s formation. This movement called for a boycott of British goods, non-importation agreements, and the establishment of local militias.

On the reverse of the 2024 Colorized Mesa Grande The First Continental Congress Silver Coins, an American bald eagle proudly stands atop the Liberty Tree. Beneath its branches, colonists gather, emphasizing the importance of American liberties.

The Congress drafted and sent a petition to King George III, expressing loyalty to the Crown but protesting the unfair treatment of the colonies. They also issued the Suffolk Resolves, which urged Massachusetts to resist the Intolerable Acts and called for the boycotting of British goods.

These 2024 Colorized Mesa Grande The First Continental Congress 1 oz Silver Coins come in acrylic capsules, showcasing proof craftsmanship with frosted designs and mirrored fields. The colorization on the obverse adds vibrancy, bringing the historic First Continental Congress to life. Each coin includes a Certificate of Authenticity.
