Started in 2015, this series has offered collectors a chance to explore Bible stories through the stunning 19th-century artwork of Gustave Dor. Each 2 oz silver coin in this series illustrates a different story, showcasing Dors detailed and expressive scenes. With an antique polish and proof visuals, each coin has a timeless look, reflecting the spirit of an ancient artifact. This 2024 release marks the final year of the much-loved Biblical Series.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2024 Jonah and the Large Fish Biblical Silver Coin, you’ll find an image of King Charles III. Jody Clarks left-profile design shows Charles without a crown. Inscriptions include CHARLES III, 2 OZ 999 FINE SILVER, 2024, and NIUE TWO DOLLARS.
Reverse
The reverse side of the coin depicts Jonah at a moment of surrender, as a large fish appears. Instead of letting Jonah drown, God sends a “great fish” to swallow him. Jonah spends three days and nights within the fish, praying in repentance. His prayer, found in the second chapter of Jonah, is a message of thanksgiving for Gods mercy in what seemed like certain peril. The inscription includes JONAH AND THE LARGE FISH.
History
The experience in the fish serves as a turning point in Jonah’s story, leading to his eventual, albeit reluctant, obedience to God’s command. This dramatic episode has become one of the most well-known stories in the Bible, serving as a powerful metaphor for divine deliverance and second chances.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All products are discreetly packaged and shipped with full insurance included.
Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
Provident is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
