History

The Mexican Libertad Silver Coins were launched in 1982 and have been produced every year since. Libertad Gold Coins came out a year earlier but experienced a hiatus before their reintroduction in 1991. They were minted annually until 1994, took a break, and then resumed in 2000. After another short pause in 2001, they’ve been minted yearly since 2002.
