Obverse
On the obverse field of the 2024 Pitcairn Island Lunar Year of the Dragon 1 oz Silver Coin, you’ll find the portrait of King Charles III. This unique depiction showcases the King in left-profile relief, a departure from the traditional right-profile relief often associated with the Queen. Identifying marks of the coin surround the image. Inscriptions read PITCAIRN ISLANDS, ONE DOLLAR, 2024, and CHARLES III.
Reverse
Flipping to the reverse side of the coin, you’ll discover a captivating dragon image. The dragon soars across the design field, emitting a fearsome roar. In the background, cherry blossoms and tree lanterns add to the visual allure. Inscriptions include LUNAR YEAR OF THE DRAGON.

In 2024, we welcome the Year of the Dragon according to the Chinese zodiac. The dragon, the fifth animal in the zodiac, is the only mythical creature among the twelve. It symbolizes good fortune and luck, and it’s believed that more babies are born during Years of the Dragon than any other year in the zodiac.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies.
