In 2021, the Scottsdale Mint launched a series of gold and silver coins for Gibraltar, featuring Lady Justice on the obverse each year. The Lady Justice Series is issued by the Scottsdale Mint for Gibraltar, a British Overseas Territory at the entrance to the Mediterranean Sea, just 14 km from North Africa. Obverse
The obverse of the 2024 Proof Lady Justice 1 oz Gold Coin features Lady Justice in front-facing relief. She holds a sword in her right hand, a scale in her left, and wears a blindfold, continuing the traditional imagery of the series. Inscriptions read JUSTICE, FIDES ET JUSTITIA, and 2024.
Reverse
On the reverse side of the 2024 Proof Gibraltar Lady Justice Gold Coins, you will find the Royal Arms of England along with the coat of arms of Gibraltar. This combination represents Gibraltars status as a British Overseas Territory. The Royal Arms dominate the field, with the coat of arms of Gibraltar at the bottom. The inscriptions on this side read GIBRALTAR, 2024, 1 TROY OUNCE, 9999 FINE GOLD, and 10 POUNDS.
History
Each coin in the series showcases Lady Justice on the obverse. Her depiction is inspired by goddesses from Ancient Roman and Greek mythology, such as Astraea. In the Greek golden age myth, Astraea was the last immortal to live among humans. When she left Earth, she became the constellation Virgo.

These 2024 Proof Gibraltar Lady Justice 1 oz Gold Coins come in individual packaging, housed in capsules on Scottsdale chipboards. The coins feature proof visuals with frosted fields and mirrored backgrounds. The 2024 release includes a unique depiction of mountains on the obverse, with six stars and radial lines.

For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
