Since its introduction in 1986, the American Gold Eagle Coin series from the United States Mint has captured the essence of America with Liberty on the obverse and a bald eagle on the reverse. These classic symbols represent both the countrys ideals and its natural heritage. Right now, Provident Metals offers 2025 American Eagle 1/4 oz Gold Coins in certified condition, making it easy to add a piece of U.S. history to your collection.
Highlights:
Each 2025 American Eagle 1/4 oz Gold Coin in this listing is in Mint State 69 condition, graded for its excellent luster and minimal imperfections. The Early Release designation applies to coins submitted for grading within 30 days of their release from the mint.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2025 American Eagle Gold Coin shows a classic image of Liberty, designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens. Liberty is depicted walking forward, holding a torch to symbolize knowledge and an olive branch as a sign of peace. The rays of the sun stretch across the background, and the U.S. Capitol Building is positioned at the bottom. The inscriptions here read LIBERTY and 2025.
Reverse
On the reverse side, the 2025 Eagle 1/4 oz Gold Coin presents a detailed portrait of the American bald eagle, illustrated by artist Jennie Norris. This close-up of the eagles head in left-profile captures its intense gaze, a reminder of the strength and freedom it symbolizes. Released in 2021 to mark the Gold Eagles 35th anniversary, this design offers a modern touch to the historic series. Inscriptions on this side read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1/4 OZ FINE GOLD, and 10 DOLLARS.
History
The bald eagles image has long been a part of American identity, appearing in logos, art, and cultural symbols across the nation. Its story of recovery and resilience has become an emblem of environmental success and American pride. Today, the eagle remains a lasting icon of freedom and unity that resonates with Americans.
