The American Gold Eagle is a well-known gold coin series from the United States Mint that launched in 1986. As the nations official gold bullion coin, it carries a historic design originally introduced in the early 20th century. Right now, Provident Metals is offering the 2025 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coin, housed in a unique Blue Eagle Card.
Highlights:
These 2025 American Eagle 1 oz Gold Coins are sealed within a Blue Eagle Card for added presentation value. The back of the card displays a silhouette of a bald eagle, while the front includes background details about the birds designation as the national emblem of the United States.
Obverse
On the obverse of 2025 American Eagle Gold Coins, youll see Lady Liberty, as designed by Augustus Saint-Gaudens in 1907. The design shows Liberty in full-length relief walking forward, holding a torch in one hand and an olive branch in the other. She is surrounded by sun rays, the U.S. Capitol Building, and a ring of stars. Inscriptions include LIBERTY, 2025, and the ASG signature mark of Saint-Gaudens.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2025 Eagle 1 oz Gold Coin features a modern take on the American bald eagle. This design by Jennie Norris was introduced in 2021 and shows the eagles head in left-profile relief. It was first released during the 35th anniversary of the American Eagle Coin Series. Inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, IN GOD WE TRUST, 50 DOLLARS, and 1 OZ. FINE GOLD.
History
The coins are struck in 22-karat gold, using a unique mix of metals. Unlike other gold coins that use a basic gold-copper blend, the U.S. Mint includes silver in the mix. Each coin contains 91.67% gold, 5.33% copper, and 3% silver, giving it strength and a unique color.
