The American Silver Eagle is one of the most sought-after silver bullion coins on the market today. Since its debut in 1986, the United States Mint has produced this coin every year, making it one of the most well-known and highly collected silver coins. Available in 1 oz increments, this coin is a favorite among collectors and investors alike, particularly when certified for those who want a pristine example. Right now, 2025 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins are available in certified condition at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
The 2025 American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin comes in Mint State 69 condition, meaning it has full original mint luster and only very small flaws, such as light contact marks or hairlines located away from the main focal points. These coins also have the “Early Release” designation, meaning they were received for grading within 30 days of being released from the mint.
Obverse
The obverse of 2025 American Eagle Silver Coins comes with the 1916 image of Walking Liberty. Her full-length figure is shown in left-profile relief with the sun rising over a mountain on the horizon. Inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, Weinman’s signature mark, and 2025.
Reverse
On the reverse of the 2025 Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin, you’ll find an updated image of the American bald eagle. Introduced in 2021, this new design depicts the eagle swooping down with its wings spread wide, clutching an oak branch in its talons. This powerful design symbolizes the strength and resilience of the United States. Inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ FINE SILVER, and ONE DOLLAR.
History
The obverse of the 2025 American Silver Eagle features the classic Walking Liberty design by Adolph A. Weinman. This beloved design, originally seen on U.S. half dollars from 1916 to 1947, shows Lady Liberty walking toward the sun with the American flag flowing around her. She holds both laurel and oak branches, which are symbols of peace and strength.
