Obverse
On the obverse of the 2025 American Eagle Silver Coin, youll find Adolph A. Weinmans Walking Liberty design, originally introduced in 1916. The artwork shows Liberty in profile as she walks toward the sun, draped in the American flag. In her arms, she holds branches of oak and laurel, symbolizing strength and victory, as her hand extends toward the horizon. Inscriptions here include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, Weinman’s AW signature mark, and 2025.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2025 Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin highlights the American bald eagle. This newer eagle design by Emily Damstra, introduced in 2021, shows the eagle swooping down with an oak branch in its talons, a tribute to the resilience and strength of the nation. Inscriptions here read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, 1 OZ FINE SILVER, and ONE DOLLAR.
History
The American Silver Eagle series is known for its obverse design of Walking Liberty and reverse depiction of the American bald eagle. The bald eagle became a symbol of the United States on June 20, 1782, when it was chosen by the Continental Congress for the Great Seal. Its strong, noble look and distinct features have made it a lasting emblem of Americas heritage and strength.
