This image was created in 2024 by Dan Thorne and marks the first Australian coins to show Charles III. In the design, he is shown in left-profile without a crown. The inscriptions read CHARLES III, AUSTRALIA, and 8 DOLLARS.

Reverse

On the reverse of the 2025 Kookaburra Incused 5 oz Silver Coin is a fresh image of a kookaburra sitting in a tree, shown in left-profile. Youll also find a small privy mark that features the original 1990 design used for the first coin in this series, celebrating the 35th anniversary of the Silver Kookaburra. The inscriptions include 2025, 5 OZ 9999 SILVER, KOOKABURRA, 35TH ANNIVERSARY, and the P mint mark.

History
