In 1996, Perth Mint introduced its lunar-themed coin series, which has grown into the most popular lunar collection globally. From the start with Lunar Series I in 1996, the series has continued every 12 years, with the latest being Lunar Series III in 2020. Provident Metals now offers the 2025 Australian Lunar Snake 1 Kilo Silver Coin.

The 2025 Australian Lunar Snake 1 Kilo Silver Coin is in Brilliant Uncirculated condition and comes in an individual plastic capsule. Perth Mint will produce this coin without a mintage limit, making it available until the release of the next design in the series.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2025 Australian Lunar Snake Silver Coin features the first-generation portrait of King Charles III, designed by Dan Thorne in 2024. This left-profile bust of the king, shown without a crown, is his debut appearance on Perth Mint Lunar Series coins. The inscription reads CHARLES III, AUSTRALIA, 1 KILO 9999 AG, and 30 DOLLARS.
Reverse
The reverse side of the 2025 Lunar Snake 1 Kilo Silver Coin features a detailed image of a coiled snake in a lush jungle setting, with overhanging branches, leaves, and a river winding towards distant mountains. Inscriptions here read SNAKE, 2025, the P mint mark, and the Chinese symbol for the snake.
History
The Year of the Wood Snake appears once every 60 years, combining the 12-year animal cycle with the 5-element cycle. The previous Wood Snake year was 1965, and the next one will be in 2025. These years are considered especially lucky because the wood element is thought to enhance the snake’s natural traits.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. Once payments are processed, products are released to fulfillment for packaging and shipping.
All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
Provident is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
