On the obverse of each 2025 Australian Lunar Snake Silver Coin is a left-profile portrait of King Charles III. This design, created by Dan Thorne, was first introduced in 2024 and features His Majesty without a crown. Each coin has inscriptions of CHARLES III, AUSTRALIA, 1 OZ 9999 AG, and 1 DOLLAR.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2025 Lunar Snake 1 oz Silver Coin showcases a coiled snake, with the snake resting beneath lush foliage and a body of water stretching into the distance toward distant mountains. The gilded coin in the set features a layer of 24-karat gold on the snake, while the colorized coin highlights the snake in a bright blue tone. The coins all read SNAKE, 2025, the P mint mark, and the Chinese character for snake.
History
