Obverse
The obverse side of the 2025 British Britannia Silver Coin features a portrait of King Charles III. This left-facing image of the King, without a crown, was designed by Martin Jennings in 2022 and debuted on British coinage in 2023. The inscriptions include CHARLES III, D.G. REX. F.D., and 2 POUNDS.
Reverse
On the reverse, the 2025 Britannia 1 oz Silver Coin showcases a powerful image of Britannia, designed by Philip Nathan in 1987. Britannia is depicted standing with a Corinthian helmet, a trident, and a shield bearing the Union Jack. This side includes multiple security features such as a wave pattern background, a latent image, micro-text, and tincture lines on the Union Jack. Inscriptions here include BRITANNIA, 2025, 1 OZ, and 999 FINE SILVER.
History
Britannia has represented British identity and power for centuries, dating back to her origins in Roman Britain. Although she disappeared from British iconography for a time, she was revived during the 16th century under Elizabeth I, becoming a symbol of the nations strength, particularly at sea.

When the subtotal of your purchase, including applicable discounts, is $199 or more, you receive free shipping for your entire order. In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. Most Provident orders are shipped within one (1) business day of your payment clearing. Payments made via PayPal clear instantly. Bitcoin payments clear instantly once the transaction is confirmed. For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
