Since 1979, the Royal Canadian Mint has been producing the Canadian Maple Leaf bullion series. The series started with gold bullion coins, which are now among the oldest gold bullion coins available. In 1988, the Mint expanded the series to include a 1 oz silver coin with .9999 pure silver, setting a new standard for purity. The 2025 Canadian Maple Leaf 1 oz Silver Tubes are now offered by Provident Metals.

Highlights:

  • Delivered in an acrylic tube!
  • 38th edition of 1 oz Silver Maple Leaf Coins!
  • Each tube contains 25 coins!
  • Each coin holds 1 Troy oz of .9999 pure silver in BU condition (25 Troy oz total).
  • Coins have a face value of $5 (CAD) backed by the Canadian government.
  • The obverse features a bust of King Charles III.
  • The reverse shows the sugar maple leaf.
  • Includes a laser-engraved maple leaf privy.

The 2025 Canadian Maple Leaf 1 oz Silver Tube includes 25 Brilliant Uncirculated coins, known for their .9999 pure silver content. This tube holds a total of 25 Troy ounces of silver, and the 2025 date marks the second appearance of King Charles III on the obverse.

Obverse

On the obverse of the 2025 Canadian Maple Leaf Silver Coin is a depiction of King Charles III. This is the first-ever portrait of Charles III on Royal Canadian Mint coins, showing him in a left-profile view without a crown, designed by Steven Rosati. The inscriptions here read CHARLES III, 5 DOLLARS, and 2025.

Reverse

The reverse of 2025 Maple Leaf 1 oz Silvers displays the sugar maple leaf, a prominent Canadian symbol. Created by Walter Ott in 1979, this design is featured on all Canadian Maple Leaf bullion coins. Inscriptions read CANADA, 9999, FINE SILVER, 1 OZ, and ARGENT PUR.

History

The sugar maple leaf has been a meaningful symbol since European settlers arrived in Canada. It has been featured on various provincial and territorial coats of arms and flags, reflecting its significance to the country. The maple leaf has become a widely recognized emblem of Canada.
