Obverse
On the obverse, the 2025 Chinese Mint Dragon Silver Coin features the iconic Great Wall of China. Early sections were constructed by rival states in the 7th century BCE and later joined together during the rule of Qin Shi Huang in 221 BCE to strengthen Chinas defenses against northern threats.

History
The Chinese dragon has been a central part of imperial symbolism since the Han Dynasty (206 BCE220 CE). Emperors used dragon imagery to assert their power, wearing robes with five-clawed dragons and calling themselves the Son of the Dragon. Dragons with fewer claws were reserved for nobles of lower rank, further emphasizing the creatures link to authority.
