The American Silver Eagle is one of the most trusted silver coins in the world. Its obverse design has been part of U.S. coin history for over 100 years, and its popularity continues to grow. While these coins are made without added color by the US Mint, many are later enhanced by private mints with bright color and gold accents. Provident Metals now offers the 2025 Colorized American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin.
Highlights:
These 2025 Colorized American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins come sealed in a plastic capsule. The coin has been colorized on both sides and includes gold-layered design elements. Its important to know that these details are added by private companiesnot the US Mintand coins with enhancements like these are not considered legal tender.
Obverse
The 2025 Colorized American Eagle Silver Coin features Weinmans Lady Liberty walking toward the rising sun. She wears the American flag draped over her shoulders, and the background is filled with color, including a blue field of stars and red-and-white stripes. Her figure is finished with a touch of 24-karat gold. Inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, 2025, and the AW signature mark of Weinman.
Reverse
The reverse of 2025 Colorized Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins showcases a dynamic bald eagle design by Emily Damstra, introduced in 2021. The eagle is shown in mid-flight, wings spread, and talons extended to grasp an oak branch. The background includes a starry blue field, and the eagle itself is accented with 24-karat gold. Inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ONE DOLLAR, 1 OZ FINE SILVER, and E PLURIBUS UNUM.
History
The design known as Walking Liberty takes center stage on the obverse. First created in 1916 by Adolph A. Weinman, it was part of a wave of coin redesigns that aimed to bring a new sense of pride and symbolism to American coinage in the early 20th century.
