On the obverse of the 2025 Colorized Australian Lunar Snake Silver Coin, youll find the official Australian portrait of King Charles III. This is the first-generation design showing the King in left-profile without a crown. Dan Thorne created this effigy for Australian coin programs. The inscriptions include CHARLES III, AUSTRALIA, 1/4 OZ 9999 AG, and 25 CENTS.
Reverse
The reverse of 2025 Colorized Lunar Snake 1/4 oz Silver Coins shows a detailed image of a snake curled under some foliage. The snake has been selectively colorized with blue and white tones on its body, plus vivid yellow for its eyes. This design connects with the symbolism of the Wood Snake in Chinese astrology, where the intuitive nature of the Snake is combined with the steady and nurturing influence of the Wood element. The inscriptions read 2025, SNAKE, the P mint mark, and the symbol for the snake.
