Reverse
On the reverse side of the 2025 Angel 1 oz Silver Coin, Archangel Michael is shown defeating a dragon in a dramatic pose. Though artistic styles may vary, this version keeps familiar elements such as his wings and battle gear. A shield bearing a Christian cross highlights his spiritual role, while the scene captures the ongoing symbolism of good conquering evil.
History
Throughout history, depictions of Archangel Michael have reflected the artistic styles of their time. Byzantine art showed him in regal purple garments, holding a staff. Renaissance painters, like Raphael, portrayed him as a soldier with realistic features and Roman-style armor. Despite differences, Michael is always shown with wings and ready for battle against evil.
