The United States Mint began issuing modern silver dollars in 2021, reviving two iconic coin series for collectors. That year marked the 100th anniversary of the Morgan Dollars final mintage and the Peace Dollars first. Since then, the Mint has continued producing these updated coins with their original designs. Highlights:
Each coin is individually packaged inside a plastic capsule and set within a presentation box issued by the United States Mint. The outer sleeve of the box features a Morgan Dollar-themed design, and every coin is accompanied by a Certificate of Authenticity.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2025 Morgan Silver Dollar is a classical depiction of Liberty. This design by George T. Morgan shows Liberty in left-profile with long, wavy hair, wearing a Phrygian cap, a coronet, and a laurel wreath. Thirteen stars are arranged around the edge. Inscriptions include E PLURIBUS UNUM, LIBERTY, and 2025.
Reverse
The reverse carries Morgans heraldic eagle design. A bald eagle is seen from the front with outstretched wings, clutching arrows and an olive branch in its talons. These symbols reflect the nation’s readiness for defense and hope for peace. Inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, IN GOD WE TRUST, and ONE DOLLAR.
History
First issued in 1878, the Morgan Silver Dollar brought silver dollars back into American coinage after a break in production. It replaced the Seated Liberty Dollar, which had been minted from 1838 through 1873. The Morgan design remained in use until 1904, then returned for one year in 1921.

In order to receive free shipping on purchases of $199 or more, you must live within the 50 US states. For orders less than $199, a $9.95 shipping fee applies. All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
Provident is only able to ship to addresses in any of the 50 US states. This includes P.O. boxes and APO addresses.
