Obverse
The obverse of the 2025 Pitcairn Islands Ocean Wonders Turtle Gold Coin shows King Charles III in a left-facing profile. This portrait, created by Glyn Davies, is the first official design of the king used on Pitcairn Islands coins and shows him without a crown. Inscriptions here include CHARLES III, PITCAIRN ISLANDS, FIVE DOLLARS, and 2025.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2025 Ocean Wonders Turtle 1 oz Gold Coin presents a detailed view of a sea turtle swimming through its ocean habitat. Islands like Tetiaroa in French Polynesia and Moso Island in Vanuatu serve as nesting sites, where female turtles return to lay eggs, sometimes several times in one season. However, they usually only nest every few years.
History
Sea turtles in the South Pacific show different feeding habits depending on the species. Green turtles switch from eating both plants and animals to mainly plants as they grow. Hawksbill turtles, with their slim, pointed beaks, feed on sponges and corals hidden within reef spaces, helping keep coral reefs balanced and healthy.

Credit Card and bank wire payments process within 1 business day. ACH and paper check payments take 3-5 business days. All orders of $199 or more that are eligible for free shipping are, by default, shipped via a carrier of our choice (USPS or UPS). Depending on the contents and size of your purchase, you may be able to upgrade to a specific carrier during checkout.
For those orders of $999.99 or less, there is no need to sign for your package. However, you may select the option to require a signature at delivery if you want. This can be chosen and paid for at checkout. All orders of $1000 or more require a signature to complete delivery.
