On the obverse of 2025-S Proof 250th Anniversary Navy Privy American Eagle Silver Coins, the Walking Liberty design is paired with the US Navy privy mark. Lady Liberty walks toward the horizon, wrapped in the American flag and holding branches of oak and laurel. The Navy privy shows a bald eagle facing forward while holding an anchor. The inscriptions here read LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, 2025, the AW signature mark, and US NAVY inside the privy mark.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2025-S Proof 250th Anniversary Navy Privy Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins shows the modern bald eagle design introduced in 2020 by Emily Damstra. The eagle appears in flight with its wings spread and an oak branch gripped tightly in its talons. History
In its early years, the Navy was focused on protecting American trade and defending the countrys interests at sea. It fought against Barbary pirates in the Mediterranean and safeguarded trade routes from European interference. The fleet also helped prevent the forced impressment of American sailors and offered protection to coastal cities and ports.
