The Morgan and Peace Silver Dollars highlight two meaningful periods in US history as the final silver dollars struck for circulation by the United States Mint. These classic designs returned in 2021 as part of a modern relaunch celebrating the 100th anniversary of the last Morgan Dollar and the first Peace Dollar releases. Right now, Provident Metals offers the 2025-S Reverse Proof Morgan & Peace Dollar 2-Coin Silver Set to collectors and investors alike.
Highlights:
Each 2025-S Reverse Proof Morgan & Peace Dollar 2-Coin Silver Set arrives with the coins sealed in individual plastic capsules for protection. The capsules are presented inside a themed display box celebrating both coin series, along with a matching outer shipper. Both coins feature reverse-proof finishes, which showcase frosted fields paired with mirrored design elements.
Obverse
The obverse of the Morgan and Peace Dollar Coins presents two well-known images of Lady Liberty. On the Morgan Dollar, George T. Morgans Liberty wears a Phrygian cap, a coronet crown, and a laurel wreath. The Peace Dollar features Anthony de Franciscis Liberty with flowing hair and a tall, radiant crown symbolizing peace and progress.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2025 Reverse Proof Morgan and Peace Dollars displays different representations of the American bald eagle. The Morgan Dollar includes a heraldic eagle design, while the Peace Dollar shows an eagle resting on a rocky peak with the sun rising in the distance.
History
The Morgan and Peace Dollar designs were introduced during very different moments in American history. The Morgan Dollar debuted in the late 1800s when silver discoveries in the western United States helped drive its production during a time of rapid national expansion. The Peace Dollar followed years later, first issued after World War I and continuing through the early 1930s as the nation faced major economic challenges.
