Obverse

On the obverse of each 2025 Somalia Elephant Coin, youll find the national coat of arms of Somalia. The design features a shield with a five-pointed star, topped by a crown. A leopard stands on either side of the shield, both in an upright pose.

Reverse

The reverse side of 2025 Elephant Silver Coins introduces a new image for 2025, showing two bull elephants facing off in a powerful scene. These males often engage in such displays during mating season while searching for female herds. These encounters are a key part of their natural behavior and help ensure the continuation of elephant groups in the wild.

History

African bush elephants can be found in many parts of sub-Saharan Africa. They are most commonly seen in savannas, where open spaces and scattered trees give them both food and shelter. These elephants are very adaptable and also live in areas such as forests, deserts, and wetlands. Their movements mostly depend on the availability of water.
