Obverse

The inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, 2025, and the AW signature mark.

Reverse

On the reverse side of 2025-W Burnished Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins, Emily Damstras design of the American bald eagle appears. The eagle is shown descending through the air with its wings spread wide. Its talons are extended forward, grasping a sturdy oak branch as it prepares to land. The inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ONE DOLLAR, 1 OZ FINE SILVER, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and the W mint mark.

History

The Walking Liberty image was created in 1916 by sculptor Adolph A. Weinman during a period of artistic revival in American coinage. President Theodore Roosevelt encouraged these changes, and Weinmans design was chosen through a formal review process. It first appeared on half dollars and stayed in use until 1947, becoming a well-known symbol of American coin history.
