The Burnished Silver Eagle was launched by the United States Mint in 2006 as a new collectible option within the American Silver Eagle series. These coins are made by placing standard silver blanks into a drum containing small steel balls and a special cleaning solution. The rolling motion in this process gives each coin a soft, satin-style texture, different from the shinier finishes seen on other coins. Provident Metals now offers the 2025-W Burnished American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin in flawless certified condition.
Highlights:
These 2025-W Burnished American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins are offered here in perfect condition. The Specimen Proof 70 grade means there are no visible flaws and that the coin has full mint brilliance. Each First Day of Issue coin was sent to PCGS for certification within one day of its official release.
Obverse
On the obverse of the 2025-W Burnished American Eagle Silver Coin is Adolph A. Weinmans Walking Liberty. The design shows Liberty striding forward with an outstretched hand. The American flag wraps around her shoulders and she carries oak and laurel in her other arm, all lit by the rising sun. The inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, 2025, and the AW signature mark.
Reverse
The reverse of the 2025-W Burnished Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin shows a powerful bald eagle in flight. Artist Emily Damstra designed this image of the eagle coming down with extended talons and open wings, heading toward a strong oak branch to land. The inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, ONE DOLLAR, 1 OZ FINE SILVER, E PLURIBUS UNUM, and the W mint mark.
History
The idea of Liberty has always been a major theme in American coinage. In the early 20th century, the U.S. revived this theme with updated designs under President Roosevelt. Again in the 1980s, Liberty returned as a key symbol with the launch of new bullion series, continuing to represent the core values of the country.
