The United States Mint released a special version of the American Silver Eagle in 2025 to mark the 250th anniversary of the US Army. This release includes a unique Army-themed privy mark placed on the obverse side of the coin. Now, certified 2025-W Proof Army Privy American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins are available at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Each 2025-W Proof Army Privy American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin is housed in a secure plastic slab. These coins are graded Proof 69, meaning they have only tiny imperfections and display full mint luster. Minor flaws may include light scratches or faint contact marks in non-focal areas. DCAM coins have a deeply mirrored background with strong frosted details. First Strike means the coin was submitted for grading within 30 days of its release from the mint.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2025-W Proof Army Privy American Eagle Silver Coin showcases the Walking Liberty image from Adolph A. Weinman. Liberty strides toward the sun with her arm outstretched. The special US Army privy mark is positioned in the lower right section of the field. Inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, 2025, and the AW signature mark.
Reverse
The reverse design on this 2025-W Proof Army Privy Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin features a bald eagle in mid-flight, holding an oak branch in its talons. This left-facing design was created by Emily Damstra and debuted in 2020. The eagle has its wings raised as it descends from the sky. Inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, and the W signature mark.
History
The US Armys history started on June 14, 1775, when the Continental Congress authorized the formation of the Continental Army. This came before the Declaration of Independence and was meant to unite the colonial militias. George Washington was appointed the first Commander-in-Chief to lead this early military force.
