This unique version, the 2025 Proof Army Privy Silver Eagle, includes a small privy mark honoring the Army on the front of the coin. With only 100,000 coins minted, these limited-edition releases are now available in certified condition. You can find 2025-W 1 oz Proof Army Privy American Silver Eagle Coins online now at Provident Metals.
Highlights:
Each of these 2025-W Proof Army Privy American Eagle 1 oz Silver Coins has been graded PR70 by PCGS. These coins show no signs of wear or marks and have full original luster. DCAM status highlights the sharp contrast between frosted design elements and mirror-like backgrounds. The First Strike label means the coin was received by PCGS within 30 days of the mints official release.
Obverse
The obverse of the 2025-W Proof Army Privy American Eagle Silver Coin features Adolph A. Weinmans Walking Liberty design. Liberty is shown in stride toward the sunrise, wrapped in the American flag, with the U.S. Army privy mark located near the lower right of the design. The inscriptions include LIBERTY, IN GOD WE TRUST, 2025, and the AW signature mark.
Reverse
On the reverse, the 2025-W Proof Army Privy Eagle 1 oz Silver Coin shows an eagle in motion. Designed by Emily Damstra in 2020, the eagle is in a descending flight, wings raised and an oak branch clutched in its talons, facing left in a striking pose. The inscriptions read UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, E PLURIBUS UNUM, ONE DOLLAR, 1 OZ. FINE SILVER, and the W mint mark.
History
Congress was granted the authority to raise and support armies in the U.S. Constitution of 1787. This led to the creation of the Legion of the United States in 1792, commanded by Anthony Wayne, which became the United States Army in 1796. The Armys importance expanded as the country moved west, and the War of 1812 revealed the strengths and limitations of the young force.
